MD100: World's Finest-Ever Single-Crystal
Diamond Abrasive

Statically produced on an
ultrahigh pressure press and graded by TOMEI'S advanced Crush and Sort
processes into sub-micron particle sizes.

|
MD100:
Has a MICROTRAC UPA average particle size of 100 nanometers with a BET specific
surface area of 60 m2/g approx., and
Is suitable in particular for the high precision machining of very hard
substances or composites of materials that vary in hardness. MR-head blanks
can be machined with little level difference between the ingredients on the
worked surface.
MD100 particles secure the inherent mechanical strength of single-crystalline
diamond, while they generally have rounded surfaces, showing few automorphic
or cleavage faces characteristic to diamond. The close size range of TOMEI MD
series products is also secured, with a negligible oversize mixing to cause
scratch marks on the finished surface.
